Are solar panels more effective down south?

In short, yes. The UK may not be the biggest country the world but there is a definite distinction between the amount of daylight hours, and therefore sunlight, between the north and south.  It’s estimated that homeowners in London and more southern areas can save up to £100 - £240 per year on energy bills compared with £95 - £230 per year for homes in Manchester and £90 - £200 in some areas of Scotland. Which is good news if you live on or near the south coast.

At Sesas UK we supply and fit solar panels to homes across Kent, Sussex, East Sussex and Eastbourne. All our products are Tier 1 rated and come with a 25-year guarantee so you can be sure you’re getting high quality products and peace of mind on one package.
